what do you do when your only date to prom can’t come?

i should of had a plan B, but of course i didn’t because i thought that i can rely on him most. now i’m just so pissed off, but i have no idea what to do with the extra ticket and $100 that was to help pay for school is now down the drain. all i wanted was for him to just be there, i wasn’t asking for much, just one night where i can tell him exactly how i felt about him, i was finally ready to say it, but now i can’t cause i don’t know when the next right moment is going to come, if it comes at all? now i have no reason to proudly wear the beautiful silk gown that i bought to wear if i have no one to show it too. no one to tell me that i look beautiful. i just feel like a mess right now, and i just can’t seem to get a grip…

This is from the slut walk. One of the arguments is that girls ask for rape because they wear slutty clothes, short skirts, tight, low-cut tops. This girl is an example of the fact that rape victims can look like anyone, you, me, this girl. Rapists. Dont. Discriminate.

I promised a long time ago that I’d reblog this whenever I saw it on my dash. No regrets, it breaks my heart every single time.

an incredibly important message, rape is rape. no one is ever asking for it. a woman has the right to dress how ever they want - it is society that identifies risque dressing as ‘asking for it’, and in my opinion, that way of thinking needs to be diminished.

Always, always reblog.

We mistake sex for romance. Guys are taught that pushing a girl against a wall is romance. Sex is easy, you can do it with anyone, yourself, with batteries. Romance is when someone you like walks into a room and they take your breathe away. Romance is when two people are dancing and they fit together perfectly. Romance is when two people are walking next to each other and all of a sudden they find themselves holding hands, and they don’t know how that happened.
